Signatures,
founded in 1995 by Stewart and Sally Barrier, has become one
of the premier jewelry stores in Wichita, Kansas. After 25
years in his family's retail jewelry businesss, Stewart created
a store dedicated to fine design in jewelry. Like any art
form, fine jewelry carries with it the designer's name and
thus the signature of the artist. From that realization, Signatures
was established and is now recognized as a name which people
equate to fine classic and contemporary jewelry throughout
the state of Kansas.
A third-generation jeweler (Stewart's grandfather, Carl Barrier,
founded his first store in 1932), Stewart pledged to continue
a style of business that puts the customer first and foremost,
and a business where "trust" is earned every day.
With a love and enthusiasm for the business, Stewart and
Sally have created a store which is known by its customers
and the industry it represents for integrity, professionalism
and unending determination for excellence. |

Stewart
Barrier
In 1969 Stewart joined his family’s jewelry business
after attending Kansas University for three years. A Wichita
State graduate, Stewart has also attended Gem City College
in Quincy, Illinois for training in watch making and has acquired
his Diamond Grading and Gem Identification certificate from
Gemological Institute of America. He acquired the title of
Registered Jeweler from the American Gem Society in 1982 and
was again recertified in 2001 as a Registered Jeweler at the
time when Signatures was invited to become a member store
in that society. After thirty-seven years in the jewelry retail
trade, Stewart continues to educate himself in business and
gemology to meet the challenges of today’s ever changing
jewelry business. |

Sally
Barrier
Born into a family who were in both the retail clothing business
and banking business, Sally has a natural aptitude in retail
sales. After working in Stewart’s family business, helping
to develop a gift department for eleven years, Sally retired
to raise her own family. When Signatures was founded in 1995,
Sally became a working partner and with a natural eye for
fine design and customer relationships, Sally has become the
leader in sales at Signatures. Her unbending desire to help
our customers makes Sally’s presence in our store the
center piece to all of our customers. |

Rexine
Warehime
After working in the Real Estate business, Rexine began working
in the retail jewelry business in 1979. Her experience in
sales and customer relations created a solid base for what
has continued to be a 27 year career. Rexine then joined Signatures
in 1998 and continues to provide sincere and experienced assistance
to it’s customers. She also assists Stewart in the gemological
and office functions and is responsible for seeing that Signatures
customers receive a timely appraisal on the jewelry items
they purchase at Signatures. |
